Local Transport

The best way to see the countryside around Chipping Campden and to visit its various attractions is undoubtedly by car, but it is also possible to achieve much using public transport.

BUSES 21 AND 22

For those using Chipping Campden as their base the most useful connecting services are the # 21 and # 22 buses. Service # 22 runs from Stratford on Avon via Chipping Campden to Moreton in Marsh, and returns using the same route. Service # 21 runs from Stratford on Avon via Chipping Campden and then via Broadway to Moreton in Marsh. ( On its return journey the # 21 travels from Moreton via Broadway, then via Chipping Campden on its way back to Stratford on Avon.) The current single fare from Chipping Campden to Moreton is £1-70 per adult and from Chipping Campden to Stratford on Avon the single adult fare is £2-20. Please note that the # 21 and # 22 buses do not operate on Sundays.

Times of buses are shown in a timetable published by Cotswolds Conservation Board, a copy of which can be downloaded by clicking here. This pdf format timetable also has details of other bus services in the North Cotswolds and will be useful for anyone travelling around the area by public transport. ( Please note that whilst this timetable includes all the major stops on routes 21 an 22 it does not have details for Broad Campden, Blockley and Draycott. Anyone needing details of buses to these locations should call in to Chipping Campden Information Centre and pick up a more detailed timetable published by Gloucestershire County Council.)
