Police have issued a stark warning after a stranger offered a teenager a lift and then turned aggressive when she refused.
Gloucestershire police confirmed the man got out of his car, causing the 18-year-old to run away.
She flagged down another passing vehicle, while the stranger, who owned a black car – possibly a Volkswagen – drove off.
Officers said the suspicious incident happened as the teenager was walking in the direction of Chipping Campden area, shortly before 9pm on Friday (January 15).
“The victim ran off and was able to raise the alarm to another passing vehicle. It is not known at this stage what the driver’s intentions were.
“Police would like to hear from anyone in the area at the time who saw a black or dark-coloured car and its occupants or who has any information that can help police with their enquires.
