We are now in a national lockdown (COVID-19)

Children Meeting During Half Term

Feb 17, 2021 | COVID-19 Information

We have been receiving a lot of calls about children and young persons meeting up in public in large groups.  The regulations set out at the moment in lockdown is that only one person from one household can meet one person from another household in public.

You are allowed larger groups if you come from the same household.  Example – 2 children from one household can meet one person/child from another household. Social distancing must be adhered to.
These rules are the same for adults and children.

Today we have had to disperse a few groups into pairs and social distancing. Please make sure your children are aware of current Covid-19 rules and laws. A child under 18 cannot be fined , but parents are responsible and can be fined. We have educated the children today as they appeared to have no idea of currently regulations and the police 4 E’s approach to policing the lockdown. Engage, Explain, Encourage, and Enforce as a last resort.

Many thanks
