About Chipping Campden Open Gardens Weekend
This is a fabulous event, that usually takes place on the 3rd weekend in June, where you get to walk the historic and beautiful streets of Chipping Campden, admiring homes that are private but open to the public – large and small. Approximately 20 homes will be open displaying a wide range of Chipping Campden gardens, but the actual number may vary from day to day. The Old Campden House; The Landmark Trust Banqueting Houses on Church Street may be open both days. Plant sales, Morris Men dancing and teas will be served.
After 2021’s Campden’s Gone Potty event – socially distanced plants!!, the weekend is hoping to return to its normal practice of gardens open between 2 and 6 pm Saturday and Sunday. Tickets will be available from The Information Centre in the Old Police Station (opposite the Market Hall) on the High Street and will cost £7 per day or £10 for the weekend. Email for more details.
As an extra bonus, The Campden Society have agreed to open the Wolds End Orchard for visitors to take in on their tour, this orchard contains many unusual species of Apple and Pear trees, even one that is the only known variety.
