CHRISTMAS IN CAMPDEN

CHRISTMAS POST IS BACK

Christmas post this year for Campden and Ebrington will happen under the Tourist Information Centre.  Cards will be taken in at the TIC as usual from 1st of December until 4pm on 8th December.  The price per card isl only 25p.  The cards will be delivered by hand on or just after 9th December.  We are raising money for the Campden Home Nursing, Campden Community Trust (Youth) and the TIC.  Please support us.

DATES FOR CHRISTMAS

1st and 2nd December 2018

The Chipping Campden Christmas Market will be held on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd December this year. On Saturday in the Market Square and Upper High Street there will be market stalls selling a variety of Christmas gifts plus hot food and drinks. Inside the Town Hall there are two floors of stalls offering more Christmas gifts along with Father Christmas for the younger children. On Sunday, the fun continues in the Town Hall.

The Market opens in the Town Hall on Saturday at 10:00am and the celebrations outside begin at midday continuing throughout the afternoon and early evening until 6 pm. The Christmas Market continues in the Town Hall on Sunday from 10:00am until 5:00pm.

CAMPDEN CHRISTMAS MARKET
AND LIGHTS SWITCH ON
(FOR THE CHRISTMAS PERIOD)
Following the success of last year’s event, the Campden
Christmas Market will take place on Saturday December
1st 12-6pm. The town lights and the Rotary Tree of Light
will be switched on at 5:30pm. There will be over forty
stalls and live entertainment with plenty to eat and drink.
The local shops will all be open too. Please come along
and bring your friends and family for a great afternoon

“NOW MAY WE SINGEN”
MUSIC FOR ADVENT AND CHRISTMAS IN
ST. jAMES’ CHURCH ON
SATURDAY DECEMBER 8TH AT 7.30PM
On December 8th at 7.30pm, Untune the
Sky will present a programme spanning a millennium of
music, echoing the telling and retelling of the Christmas
story including pieces by Cozzolani, McDowall,
Warlock, Byrd, Britten, Mouton and Perotin together
with traditional carols. Untune the Sky is an Oxford
based mixed vocal-instrumental consort with members
drawn from Oxford’s top professional choirs, and their
repertoire features music from the 15th to the 21st centuries.
They have performed to critical acclaim in many
venues including the cathedrals of Oxford, Bristol, and
Clifton, and their name is taken from the last stanza of
John Dryden’s poem ‘A Song for St. Cecilia’s Day 1687

SUB EDGE VILLAGE HALL, EVESHAM ROAD.
Weston Sub Edge village hall committee wish to
announce their annual traditional Christmas fair on
Saturday 8th December at 10.30am, free to attend and all
are welcome. This year we will feature even more exciting
games and attractions for all ages but with the launch
of the fantastic new village play ground, extra emphasis
will be given to children and parents. The event starts at
10.30am, the Village Bar will be open all day for food and
drinks.

Meon Singers and musical director Rebecca Mills present
a selection of Christmas music from home and
abroad. A nostalgic mix including vocal and instrumental
solos, and traditional monologue. Raffle tea/coffee,
