Now that we’re in the new year, there’s a lot to look forward to! Not only is the vaccine rollout exciting, but we can also look forward to events happening again later in the year and seeing loved ones again.
Here’s just some of the reasons we can look forward to a better year ahead:
Pancake Day
OK, not earth-shattering, but it is a date for your diary on 16th February, where we can pardon the pun, all get tossing and enjoy some delicious pancakes. If you dare, Zoom it!
Friends Are Back
For fans of the sitcom Friends, the long awaiting reunion will happen this year! It looks like it will be coming out the beginning of March, so only around 8 weeks away. It’s nice to know they’ll be there for us ….
Easter
By Easter things will look rather different, even if it’s just the weather! We might, by then, be able to meet up more and just feel much better about life!
Theatres and Cinemas
Theatres will begin to open around Easter including Cinemas. It is likely that around April we might get the new James Bond Film, and Top Gun Maverick is muted to be around May. Mamma Mia!, the Lion King and Wicked and a lot more will also return to the stage.
The Olympics
The long awaited Olympics is set for the summer this year. They’re scheduled to happen from July 23rd to August 8th.
Euro ‘2020’
The delayed tournament is scheduled for 11th June to 11th July.
Wimbledon
Wimbledon is back and scheduled for 28th June to 11th July – what a month of sport that will be!
…and if that wasn’t enough, just to lift your spirits further, there will also be a new US president later this month.
