Grevel House
Grevel House is located at the north end of Chipping Campden’s beautiful High Street. Unbeknown to most, Grevel House is actually one of the the oldest stone buildings in Chipping Campden.
Court Barn Museum
Court Barn Museum is a project of the Guild of Handicraft Trust, and tells the story of craft and design in the north Cotswolds.
Guild of Handicraft
Chipping Campden has important links with the Arts and Crafts movement. In 1902, C.R. Ashbee set up his Guild of Handicrafts workshop in the old silk mill in Sheep Street.
It now contains the last family business from those days -Harts Silversmith’s, where you can see them working in the original surroundings. It also has The Campden Coffee Co., The Gallery at the Guild, and Caroline Richardson – a Jeweller.
Old Campden House
In 1613, the newly enriched Sir Baptist Hicks began work on a new house in Chipping Campden in the very latest style, looking out over equally fashionable formal gardens.
Ernest Wilson Memorial Garden
You will find the Ernest Wilson Memorial Garden at the north end of Chipping Campden High Street. The Garden was originally part of the Old Vicarage Garden, so the Tower of St. James’s Church overlooks the garden adding to its beauty.
Dover’s Hill
Dover’s Hill near Chipping Campden, is a natural amphitheatre on a spur of the Cotswold scarp.
The hill has glorious views over the surrounding countryside and can be found approximately 1 mile northwest of Chipping Campden.
You will see beautiful views across the Vale of Evesham and on a really good day, you can see the Malvern Hills in all their glory.
Chipping Campden Almshouses
Gabled, mullioned, mullioned and hoodmould, these almshouses display the Cotswold vernacular at its best. They were built at a total cost of £1300 in 1612 by Sir Baptist Hicks.
