Grevel House, Chipping Campden
Grevel House is located at the north end of Chipping Campden’s beautiful High Street. Unbeknown to most, Grevel House is actually the oldest house in Chipping Campden. It is one of the few and finest examples in Britain of 14th century architecture. Look out for the gargoyles and sun dial when you visit.
Built in 1380 by William Grevel “the flower of all England’s wool merchants.”
The house has been remodelled over the centuries, but it is thought that the entrance door and two-story bay to the right have original stonework
